As a lifelong athlete, I have been fascinated by muscle recovery from a young age. I carried this fascination into my doctoral studies in physical therapy at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where I was exposed to the most cutting-edge research on how muscles break down, recover, and grow.
After receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, my work in sports medicine exposed me to every kind of musculoskeletal injury imaginable.
I found that most regimens prescribed by PTs were woefully incomplete. Evidence-based treatments were out there but most PTs were either unaware of them or only had access to one or two of them. I created Muscle Recovery to take a “kitchen sink” approach to exercise recovery and sports injury prevention — every proven technique for muscle recovery, available under one roof and within one hour.
